Hooray. I have always loved books and reading and now working in an Infant school it is fantastic to be able to share my love of stories with the children and to encourage them to read themselves. I run the book club in school and we also send out catalogues six times a year so that the children - and parents - can buy books at a much cheaper price than they are in the shops. The school also gets

commission too, which in turn buys more books for our school library and for our classrooms. twice a year we hold a book fair too. The television programme Jackanory was hugely popular for many years. It is good that there are campaigns such as this which bring books to everyones attention again.

I recently read the BFG again for fun. Enjoyed it as much as when I was 8 (that's twenty years ago!) we still use the catchphrases and spoonerisms today!
